You might be suprised what Autodesk Inventor LT 2012 can do

Alright, I can guess what you are thinking about LT products. And I have heard a variety of jabs at what the LT stands for. But, if you aren't up to speed, you may be floored at what Autodesk Inventor LT 2012 brings to the table.

Here is what we're talking about. We take the full part modeling and drawing manager enviroments from Inventor, the industry's best 3D CAD tool (yeah, I'm biased...but, I'm also right) and get it to customers at a crazy good price. And it's not just parts and drawings. Autodesk Inventor LT gives you all the 3D import/export tools you can handle, DWG drawing creation, game changing UI, BIM exchange tools and Multiple Solid part models. My man, Rob Cohee, has made a ton of great videos on Inventor LT 2010 & 2011 (Rob Cohee YouTube - IV LT).

But here is some great news: we made it even better with the 2012 release. How did we do that you ask? Here are a few ways.

Integration with Vault Workgroup, Vault Collaboration and Vault Professional. Yep, you heard me. Now you can get Vault acess if you are an Inventor LT 2012 user (and if you are using the AutoCAD Inventor LT Suite, you get Vault in AutoCAD LT too!)

 

Ability to open and flatten Inventor sheet metal parts. Upon opening an Inventor sheet metal part you will get a warning, and then you can go ahead a flatten that bad boy or go ahead and send the DWG/DXF flat pattern right to your fab shop.

 

 

Import native assemblies from ProE, SolidWorks and Catia. Yes, I said a-s-s-e-m-b-l-i-e-s in Inventor LT. Take your legacy Doh'E, SortaWorks or CANTIA assemblies and open them as a Multiple Solid Part file.

 

Not to mention the stunning visualization with ray tracing, revolutionary ease of use, blinding performance, complex rib networks, 3D Connexion device support and even more advanced modeling tools that the packed into the box for the 2012 release.

Glad to see your blog, Loren. I've been a Twitter follower of yours for some time. Continued success to you, (and hopefully the Mavs.)

As a long time Autocad LT user, and hopefully one day Inventor user, I am pretty excited about the prospects for IV LT, and hope to try it out soon.
